WWE Championship Match Confirmed For Extreme Rules 2021

The All Mighty versus The Viper

Bobby Lashley will defend the WWE Championship against Randy Orton at WWE Extreme Rules 2021.

It was confirmed during this week's Monday Night Raw that the All Mighty would put the WWE Title on the line against The Viper at the next pay-per-view, on Sunday 26 September.

The bout was confirmed in the opening segment of the September 6 show as Lashley and MVP interrupted an RK-Bro promo segment. Lashley challenged Orton to a one-on-one match, after he RKO-ed him last week, with Orton accepting so long as it was for the WWE Championship.

MVP said the bout would take place at Extreme Rules in three weeks' time.

Lashley and MVP would go on to win the Tag Team Turmoil Match that would run throughout Raw this week, securing themselves a shot at Orton and Riddle's Raw Tag Team Championships next week on the red brand.

The duo failed to take the Titles off of RK-Bro last week, when Riddle pinned MVP to secure the win for his team.
