WWE Championship Match Set For Money In The Bank 2021

Kofi Kingston gets a shot at the Title

Bobby Lashley has agreed to defend the WWE Championship against Kofi Kingston at Money In the Bank 2021.

The All Mighty successfully defended his Title inside Hell In A Cell against Drew McIntyre on Sunday, meaning the Scotsman can no longer challenge for the Championship while Lashley is champion, and The New Day were quick to try and seize the opportunity to get Kingston back in the Title picture.

Kingston would challenge Lashley, with the reigning champion happy to accept the opportunity on one condition - he would get to face Kingston's tag-team partner Xavier Woods in a Hell In A Cell match later on in the night on Raw.

The WWE Champion would then decimate Woods as Kingston watched on outside the steel structure.

Kingston is the last person to pick up a pin-fall win over Lashley in singles competition and will now need to repeat the feat on Sunday 18 July in order to reclaim the WWE Title.

WWE Money In The Bank 2021 is beginning to take shape, with two titular Ladder Matches on the card and a bout for the Raw Women's Championship also confirmed for the show on Raw.
