Two NXT Champions Compete On WWE Main Event [SPOILERS]

Could the duo be set for the main roster soon?

Two of NXT's leading champions have competed in matches that will be shown on this week's WWE Main Event.

Spoilers on the involved individuals follow.

PWInsider reported prior to Monday's taping of Main Event, which is filmed weekly before Raw, that NXT Champion Karrion Kross and NXT North American Champion Bronson Reed were in attendance at the ThunderDome.

As per Twitter user Xylot Themes, both took part in matches taped before Raw that will be used as part of this week's WWE Main Event show, which will air on Thursday on Hulu.

Both Kross and Reed were victorious in their respective bouts. North American Champion Reed defeated Drew Gulak while NXT Champion Kross beat Shelton Benjamin. It has been noted that Scarlett, who usually accompanies Kross for his matches, was not ringside for his victory over Benjamin.

The duo had also been at last week's SmackDown and reportedly worked dark matches against Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode, respectively.

With WWE planning for their annual draft following this year's SummerSlam - set for Saturday 21 August - and amid rumours of a shake-up of the roster, it is plausible that both Kross and Reed will be both incorporated into the main roster sooner rather than later.
