WWE Changes Plans For NXT Deadline 2024

WWE NXT Deadline 2024 plans changed

WWE have altered their plans for the 2024 edition of NXT Deadline.

According to WrestleVotes, WWE initially planned to hold Deadline 2024 on December 15 in Chicago. WWE will instead take NXT to Chicago for the premiere episode on The CW, with NXT scheduled to emanate from Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois on Tuesday, October 1. Chicago's own CM Punk is planned for the show.

"Shawn Michaels has announced the first NXT on The CW show will take place at the Allstate Arena in Chicago. Source states this is a development that transpired over the last few months as WWE was initially planning on hosting NXT Deadline on 12/15 in Chicago. Interesting change…" WrestleVotes tweeted.

The first two episodes of WWE NXT on The CW will take place outside of the WWE Performance Center. According to reports, NXT will then return to their permanent residence from week three on The CW but the brand will tour for select shows when it makes sense to do so.

Deadline has been one of NXT's major events since 2022 and the show has so far been built around the Iron Survivor Challenge matches which see the winners earn a future title shot.
