WWE Clash In Paris is now official
Jan 29, 2025
Following reports that an announcement was imminent, WWE have officially announced that Clash in Paris - a premium live event in Paris, France - will emanate from the La Défense Arena on Sunday, August 31.
In addition to Clash in Paris, the September 1 edition of Monday Night Raw will air from the La Défense Arena. The venue is the largest indoor arena in Europe and is primarily used to host home games for rugby union's Racing 92. The likes of Taylor Swift, The Rolling Stones, and Bruce Springsteen have held concerts at the arena.
WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H said: "Backlash France in Lyon last year broke arena records and decibel levels, demonstrating just how loud and passionate our WWE fans in France can be. We believe Clash in Paris and Raw will attract people from around the world to Paris and once again create a true spectacle."
Clash in Paris will be WWE's second premium live event/pay-per-view in France. The company held Backlash in Lyon in 2024, a show that featured a raucous crowd, particularly for AJ Styles vs. Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
WWE have held two Clash shows in recent years with Clash at the Castle. The 2022 event emanated from Cardiff, Wales, while 2024's show was held in Glasgow, Scotland.
