Another shake-up of the WWE commentary team is set to take place in the near future.

WWE's current setup sees Michael Cole and Corey Graves provide commentary for Friday Night SmackDown, while Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett are on the call for Monday Night Raw. Those teams were reversed for the December 19 episode of SmackDown and the December 22 edition of Raw, however, likely due to the shows being taped in advance.

Permanent commentary team changes are on the way, though, with Dave Scherer of PWInsider noting that the announce teams will change after the holiday season due to Joe Tessitore finishing up with his college football commitments.

Tessitore's college football duties saw him and Wade Barrett move from SmackDown to Raw in September 2025, with Michael Cole and Corey Graves moving to the blue brand. Tessitore has provided commentary throughout the college football season, including on Saturday night where he was on the call for Tulane vs. Ole Miss in the College Football Playoffs on TNT Sports.

Michael Cole and Joe Tessitore have switched between Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown on a consistent basis since Tessitore joined WWE in 2024.
