WWE Confirms Cody Rhodes Injury

Cody Rhodes suffered an injury, WWE have confirmed

Just two months on from his return at WrestleMania 38, WWE have confirmed Cody Rhodes is dealing with an injury.

It was announced during the Hell In A Cell Kickoff Show that Rhodes suffered a partially torn right pectoral tendon on Monday Night Raw this week. The tendon then tore completely off the bone while Cody did weight training on Friday.

Despite the injury, WWE revealed The American Nightmare will still perform in his scheduled Hell In A Cell Match against Seth Rollins, the third match of their feud.

News of Cody's injury initially emerged earlier today. This came after Rhodes did not compete at a WWE house show on Saturday in Champaign, Illinois and was replaced in his match by Drew McIntyre. Cody instead made an appearance towards the end of the match to attack Seth Rollins.

Since his return at The Showcase Of The Immortals, Cody has been presented as one of the top stars in WWE, only beneath Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
