WWE Confirms Move To Fridays For 205 Live

Following it's blue brand mothership...

The marriage between 205 Live and WWE SmackDown will continue, as the union moves to a new night.

With SmackDown's official move to Friday nights on FOX starting this week, the Cruiserweight-oriented 205 Live is in tow, with WWE making the official announcement today that 205 Live will continue to air live immediately after SmackDown.

Per WWE's press release: "Beginning this Friday, Oct. 4, The Most Exciting Hour on Television is moving to Friday nights. As part of WWE Premiere Week, the home of the Cruiserweights -- WWE 205 Live -- is moving to Fridays at 10/9 C, streaming live on the award-winning WWE Network."

It's not clear at this time if there will be any changes to the show's announce team. Two thirds of the current crew, Vic Joseph and Dio Maddin, are taking over commentary duties on the revamped Monday Night Raw, where they'll be joined by Jerry "The King" Lawler.

One could assume that with no announcements saying otherwise, that Joseph and Maddin, along with Aiden English, would continue onward with the purple brand.
