Report: Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Could Debut For AEW

Wednesday Night Dynamite appearance on the cards?

Per a report from Sports Illustrated, a former WWE World Heavyweight Champion could be in-line to make a surprise debut for All Elite Wrestling.

That former WWE World Heavyweight Champion is none other than Jack Swagger...

For the avoidance of any doubt, here's what SI's report stated: “In other wrestling news, a potential surprise for AEW’s premiere on TNT, Sports Illustrated has learned, is Jake Hager, better known from his WWE run as Jack Swagger. An ardent Trump supporter and legitimate big guy, Hager would fit in nicely as a villain for the promotion. He would also add depth to the card, and his work in Bellator MMA could have crossover appeal for AEW.”

Hager hasn't had a match inside the squared circle since November of last year as he continues to get his MMA career off the ground.

The Former 5 Star Wrestling Champion has won both of his fights for Bellator by submission against T.J. Jones and J.W. Kiser respectively.

AEW Dynamite debuts this coming Wednesday and will run directly against WWE NXT's weekly TV show.
