WWE Considering Online Reception To Determine Bad Blood Main Event

Latest on WWE Bad Blood main event

The main event of WWE's Bad Blood pay-per-view/PLE has yet to be made official but reports in recent days have noted that as of last week, WWE were planning to have Cody Rhodes & Roman Reigns vs. Solo Sikoa & Jacob Fatu close out the October 5 event.

This came as somewhat of a surprise to many fans, with previous reports noting that CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre in a Hell in a Cell Match would be the main event of Bad Blood, especially as the show was revived to coincide with the anniversary of the first-ever Hell in a Cell Match from Badd Blood: In Your House in 1997.

The main event of Bad Blood may not have been completely decided upon, however. Mike Johnson of PWInsider has noted the initial plans were to build Bad Blood around the anniversary of Hell in a Cell, which would suggest CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre would go on last. A final decision on the Bad Blood main event has not been made, though, as there has been a push within WWE for the tag team match to end the show as Atlanta holds significance to Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes.

Fightful Select has reiterated that the tag team match was planned to close out the show as of last week, but WWE have "taken online reception into consideration."

Current Bad Blood card:

  • Cody Rhodes & Roman Reigns vs. Solo Sikoa & Jacob Fatu
  • CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre - Hell in a Cell
  • Liv Morgan (c) vs. Rhea Ripley - Women's World Championship - Dominik Mysterio in a Shark Cage
  • Nia Jax (c) vs. Bayley or Naomi - WWE Women's Championship
  • Damian Priest vs. Finn Balor
