WWE Backstage Reaction To Jey Uso's Intercontinental Title Win Revealed

Jey Uso finally did it, with Jey landing his first ever WWE singles title with a win over Bron Breakker on the September 23 edition of Raw netting Uso the Intercontinental Championship.

The tag specialist has never before held any singles titles in the company, but his ascension to ‘Main Event Jey’ status over the past year has seen fans and industry veterans alike call for Jey to have some form of title run.

It seems as though those backstage in WWE are jubilant about Uso’s win, with a host of current stars sending their congratulations to Uso on social media, with the likes of Cody Rhodes, Bayley, Rhea Ripley, Xavier Woods, and many others taking to X/Twitter to share their joy at Jey winning the gold.

Natalya summed up Jey’s WWE odyssey thus far, saying: “Congratulations Jey! I’m so happy for you…you’ve been working so hard since DAY ONE. You’ve truly earned this win— @WWEUsos #AndNew #WWERaw”

Uso’s win was certainly a shock, with few predicting that Breakker would drop the title so early into his run, never mind dropping it on an episode of Raw. The question is will Uso have a lengthy run with the IC strap, or is there someone waiting in the wings to end it even quicker than Uso ended Breakker’s reign?
