WWE Creative Reportedly Has Nothing For Mustafa Ali

Ali hasn't been on the road since before Survivor Series

Fans in Chicago were notably disappointed to not see home-town talent Mustafa Ali in any capacity on this past Friday's episode of SmackDown.

Ali has not been seen on WWE television in a number of weeks and, according to Fightful Select, the 35-year-old wasn't even physically in attendance for the program at the Allstate Arena.

With WWE also pre-taping the Christmas Eve episode of SmackDown, Ali was not involved on the episode airing next week either, with the promotion seemingly just not having anything for the former RETRIBUTION leader at this time.

Ali asked for, and was granted, a couple of weeks off for paternity leave but the report indicates that WWE ended up sending him home to begin his leave early. Ali has not been on the road with the promotion since prior to Survivor Series last month and is awaiting plans for his return to television.

Ali was most recently in a feud with Mansoor, after their short-term tag-team ended, with Mansoor defeating his former partner at Crown Jewel at the end of October.
