WWE Disputes Keith Lee's Claims Of Not Paying His Medical Bills

WWE released a statement on Friday

WWE has contested Keith Lee's recent claim that they did not pay for his medical bills stemming from serious issues he had earlier in 2021.

Lee was released from the company on November 4, along with 17 other talents. Days later, he issued a statement saying, in part, "I paid all my medical bills from the many offices and machines I frequented. There is positivity in that. And, I do find it amusing that people believe anyone but me paid for my medical expenses."

WWE has issued their own statement on Lee's claim, stating, "Keith Lee’s recent comments implying WWE failed to pay his medical bills are erroneous. WWE has an extensive healthcare program for the medical care of its in-ring performers and Mr. Lee was part of this program while with the company. Should Mr. Lee have any concerns over the payment of medical bills, he is welcome to address them with WWE."

Lee was sidelined in February, first due to COVID complications, followed by a heart inflammation. He returned to the ring in July, after a five month absence.
