WWE now have over 20 championships, with the company announcing the creation of the WWE ID Men's Championship and WWE ID Women's Title.

The inaugural WWE ID champion will be decided in a tournament across the independent wrestling scene and, according to WWE, the belts will be defended on the indies. Who will be in the tournament and when exactly the competition will begin has not been revealed.

WWE established the WWE ID programme in late 2024, which is designed to provide a pathway for independent wrestlers to join WWE. Wrestlers are designated as a WWE ID 'prospect' and they are provided with financial support, as well as training. The wrestlers are also featured on the WWE ID account on social media.

Talents signed to the WWE ID programme include Jack Summit, Kylie Rae, Cappuccino Jones, and Brad Baylor.

Several wrestling schools owned by WWE personalities have also been given WWE ID designation, including Booker T's Reality of Wrestling, Cody Rhodes' Nightmare Factory, Seth Rollins' Black and Brave Academy, Rikishi's KnokX Pro Academy, and the Elite Pro Wrestling Training Center.

Depending on the Universal Championship's status, WWE now have 21 or 22 championships with the creation of the WWE ID belts. WWE.com currently have 19 belts listed as active but the Universal Championship, which was unified with the WWE Title in 2022, is still listed as being a 'present' title as part of Cody Rhodes' Undisputed WWE Championship.

Another WWE title is on the way too as the WWE EVOLVE Championship will be introduced after WWE EVOLVE begins airing in March.
