WWE 'Extremely Concerned' About Charlotte Flair's Knee Injury

Charlotte Flair suffered a potentially serious injury on WWE SmackDown

One of WWE's top stars might be out of action for some time.

Charlotte Flair faced Asuka in singles action on the December 8 edition of Friday Night SmackDown. Flair suffered an injury during the match, wrenching her knee after she slipped and got caught in the ropes during a commercial break.

Upon the broadcast's return, Flair could be seen favouring her knee and WWE quickly went to the finish, with Asuka picking up the win after interference from Bayley.

The exact nature of Flair's injury has yet to be confirmed but Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported that some in WWE are "extremely concerned" that Flair's knee issue could be serious. The multi-time women's champion was set to be in action at WWE house shows over the weekend but she was pulled from those events due to the knee injury.

Flair has seen herself involved in the WWE Women's Title picture since she returned to TV in June of 2023. She recently reunited with Becky Lynch inside WarGames at Survivor Series.
