WWE Files Lawsuit Against United States Citizenship And Immigration Services

United States Citizenship and Immigration Services have 60 days to respond

WWE filed a lawsuit against the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services in the US District Court of Connecticut on January 26, according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider

The lawsuit was filed by Martine G. Cuomo, a partner at Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy, LLP on behalf of WWE. Fragomen is one of the world's largest law firms dedicated to corporate immigration. They provide comprehensive immigration services for long and short-term international assignments, the hiring of foreign workers and permanent transfers.

The lawsuit is currently sealed to the public, but Johnson noted it is likely based around WWE not being able to get a Superstar or employee into the United States. This process was exacerbated under Donald Trump's administration due to policy changes.

Court records note an electronic summons was issued to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services on January 27. They have 60 days to respond.

Amended pleadings must be filed by March 27, while discovery needs to be completed by July 8.
