WWE Files To Trademark 'Dirty Dogs'

Are Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler becoming The Dirty Dogs?

The WWE tag team of Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler could be set for a slight name change.

Roode and Ziggler have been known as The Dirty Dawgs during their time together but WWE filed to trademark 'Dirty Dogs' on June 8, suggesting the team will have a slightly different name going forward.

The full trademark filing can be read below:

'IC 041. US 100 101 107. G & S: Wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network.'

WWE do not own the trademark for 'Dirty Dawgs.'

Ziggler and Roode have been teaming together in WWE since the summer of 2019 and they have held both the Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Championships.

They returned to WWE TV on last week's episode of Monday Night Raw and they were involved in an altercation with MVP and Omos in which Ziggler Superkicked MVP off the stage. Ziggler and Roode had previously been off TV since the post-WrestleMania 38 episode of Raw when The Show Off dropped the NXT Championship to Bron Breakker.
