WWE Files Trademarks For Two WCW PPVs

Could SuperBrawl and Uncensored return?

WWE has filed trademarks for two classic WCW pay-per-views, submitting a trademark application January 19 for ‘Uncensored’ and ‘SuperBrawl’.

Although WWE bought WCW in 2001, the trademarks on some WCW assets have expired in recent years, with Cody Rhodes and AEW acquiring the rights to ‘Bash at the Beach’ and other WCW events in 2019 before allegedly brokering a deal with WWE.

In the past WWE have ran ‘The Great American Bash’, ‘Clash of Champions’ and ‘Starrcade’ events under the WWE banner, and promote NXT ‘Halloween Havoc’ events every October.

Full description of the trademarks below:

“Entertainment services, namely, a show about professional wrestling; entertainment services, namely, the production and exhibition of professional wrestling events rendered live and through broadcast media including television and distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media; providing wrestling news and information through broadcast media including television and distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment through broadcast media including television and distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; organising social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fans; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely, blogs, in the field of sports entertainment.”
