WWE Footage Airs During IMPACT Wrestling

A landmark event

For the first time in both companies' histories, WWE footage aired on Thursday's edition of IMPACT Wrestling on AXS TV.

During the episode, IMPACT commentator Tom Hannifan recapped Mickie James' appearance in the Women's Royal Rumble from Saturday, January 29, with the Knockouts Champion's elimination of Michelle McCool being shown before she was DDT'd and tossed over the top rope by Lita.

James entered the Rumble at #20 and lasted 11 minutes 40 seconds in the match. Ronda Rousey would go on to win the Rumble in her return.

As noted in the clip, the video was used with permission from World Wrestling Entertainment.

James' appearance in the Rumble came after a deal was agreed between IMPACT and WWE after Vince McMahon's company reached out to IMPACT Executive Vice President Scott D'Amore.

If James will appear as IMPACT Knockouts Champion on future WWE shows remains to be seen but Hardcore Country did reveal she would be open to defending her title at WWE's WrestleMania 38 event from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
