WWE Friday Night SmackDown Results - May 28, 2021

 WWE presented the 28 May, 2021 episode of Friday Night SmackDown from The ThunderDome, having previously confirmed two tag-team matches for the show including one for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles.

A running theme throughout the program was the developing situation between Universal Champion Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso. After the reunited brothers defeated The Street Profits in the opening match of the night, Jimmy got the duo a shot at the Tag Team Titles next week on SmackDown. Jey looked less than sure, and was even more conflicted after an intense conversation with 'The Head Of The Table' about his role in the family. 

As the show closed, with a staredown between The Usos and the SmackDown Tag Team Champions, Rey and Dominik Mysterio, the camera showed Reigns watching on from the back.

Elsewhere on the show, Seth Rollins offered a 'medical update' on Cesaro, which turned out to just be an audio clip of what appeared to be someone using the bathroom. But, it was also The Messiah's birthday, so there's that too. 

Kevin Owens also secured an Intercontinental Championship match for next week's SmackDown after defeating Apollo Crews by disqualification.
