Back in January, Cultaholic Wrestling's own Sam Driver mistakenly caused some Twitter beef between Roman Reigns and Goldberg. At the time, The Big Dog used a crash mat during his entrance and after Sam pointed it out, a fan tweeted Reigns asking him about it.
Reigns didn't take any offence to the question, but did state that he thought headbutting a door before a match was "stupid." He wrote: "Nothing to explain Nick. It's a little piece of pad. So I don't break my hand on steel grate. I gota perform like 48 weeks a year man. So that would be stupid. It would be like, head butting a door before my match level of stupid. Anyway, have a good day Nick."
Goldberg took exception to the former Universal Champion's comments at the time as he replied: "1 of those 'C'mon man' ESPN moments. I'll stick with my old school ways.... seems to of worked 99% of the time. We all have bad days. I tend to tap into an entirely different level of intensity. Doesn't work for everyone. Kinda like the difference between #UGA & GeorgieTech."
The WWE Hall Of Famer and Reigns have since feuded over the Universal Championship in the build-up to WrestleMania 36, but they didn't go one on one after Roman pulled out of The Showcase Of The Immortals. Despite this, Goldberg is seemingly still upset about Reigns' comments as during a recent appearance on Have A Beer With Obie, Bill called The Big Dog "a joke."
The former WCW World Heavyweight Champion said: "Roman you're a joke, first of all. Second of all, when he ragged on me about headbutting the doors and stuff, I never really explained my whole thought process on that. For you guys to get the character that you got I had to do certain things. Well, one of them was headbutt the door, right?
"And that may on the outside look like a stupid move, but as I mentioned, we all weigh the positives and negatives. So, if it's a very positive to make it as violent as humanly possible and as real as humanly possible, and all the negative is you lose a little blood, and 'Hey man, you've got another concussion. Cut a week off your life man.'"
