WWE Held Interest In NWA Star Prior To Re-Signing

Kerry Morton - the son of WWE Hall of Famer Ricky Morton - had interest from WWE prior to him re-signing with the National Wrestling Alliance.

PWInsider noted they had heard WWE were interested in Morton, but he's now under contract with Billy Corgan's promotion for several more years. In a since-deleted post in December, Morton stated he had signed a new two-year deal with the NWA.

WWE and AEW were interested in Kerry Morton several years ago, but the young star was focused on his education at the time, ultimately graduating from King University with a double bachelor's degree in marketing and business law in 2024.

Morton has wrestled for the National Wrestling Alliance since 2021, and he is currently part of the Southern Six faction. Morton is a former NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion and NWA United States Tag Team Champion with Alex Taylor.

Outside of the NWA, Morton has been a regular for Juggalo Championship Wrestling in 2025, even taking on James Storm in a Coal Miner's Glove on a Pole match following Vince Russo joining the promotion.
