After 203 days and nine title defences against the likes of Dolph Ziggler, Bobby Lashley, Robert Roode and The Big Show, Drew McIntyre's WWE Title reign came to an end at the hands of Randy Orton. The Viper executed his plan to perfection in their Hell In A Cell Match and The Scottish Psychopath ended up tumbling from the cell through the announcer's table before Orton put him away with an RKO a few minutes later.

The WWE Championship wasn't the only belt to change hands inside the cell as Sasha Banks vanquished her former best friend Bayley to win the SmackDown Women's Title. The consensus is that both women delivered a match that was at least on par with their NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn classic, if not better. They brutalised each other for 26 minutes with kendo sticks, ladders and steel chairs and The Standard managed to pick up the win after forcing Bayley to submit to the Bank Statement.

A family was also torn apart in the opening contest when Roman Reigns defended the Universal Championship against Jey Uso in a Hell In A Cell "I Quit" Match. The six-time tag team champion almost won the match on multiple occasions, but The Big Dog showed his resilience and fought back each and every time. Reigns was also willing to go to any lengths to be recognised as The Tribal Chief and Jey uttered the words "I quit" after Roman trapped Jimmy Uso in the Guillotine Choke. The Big Dog then got his wish after the match as The Wild Samoans adorned him with the tribal beads while Jimmy and Jey looked on despairingly from the ring.

How long Randy Orton and Roman Reigns will hold on to their respective titles remains to be seen, however, after The Miz was crowned the new Mr. Money In The Bank. Otis looked comfortable throughout the match with The A-Lister, but Tucker shockingly turned on his tag team partner, handing the victory to The Miz in the process.

Elsewhere on the show, Elias defeated Jeff Hardy by DQ after The Charismatic Enigma attacked him with a guitar and RETRIBUTION lost once again when Bobby Lashley defeated Slapjack to retain the United States Title. On the Kickoff Show, R-Truth made quick work of Drew Gulak.
