WWE Impressed By Ivar's Recent Raw Performances

Erik of the Viking Raiders has been sidelined since mid-September but this has created a new opportunity for his tag team partner Ivar, an opportunity which the former Hanson has seized.

Ivar has been involved in singles action against The New Day since September 18, a run which has seen him suffer losses to Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods before the Viking Raider picked up a win over Kingston in a Viking Rules Match on October 9. 

Both Kofi Kingston and Ivar have received high marks within WWE, according to Fightful Select, in particular for their first match since it was Ivar's first singles match in almost five years that went over 10 minutes. The fact Ivar didn't miss a beat impressed many and subsequent matches with the New Day led to WWE keeping an open mind about booking him as a singles talent. 

Ivar now looks to be on the receiving end of a singles push and he was presented as 'The One True Warrior' on the October 23 edition of Monday Raw. The new character portrays Ivar as having been bestowed with the wisdom of Odin and the power of Thor.
