Crown Jewel

WWE's recently-announced Crown Jewel show on November 2nd is set to welcome a WWE legend back to the ring, according to Dave Meltzer in this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

A widely-rumoured match for Crown Jewel has apparently been confirmed by Meltzer's sources from within WWE, and will see Shawn Michaels team with Triple H to take on Undertaker and Kane in tag team action.

Michaels hasn't wrestled a match since losing to The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXVI - a bout in which his career was put on the line against the Deadman's undefeated 'Mania streak.

However, rumours of HBK's return have been circulating since his name was mention heavily in the build to Undertaker's match with Triple H at the upcoming Super Show-Down event in Melbourne, Australia.

That bout, on October 6th, will feature not only The Game and 'Taker, but also HBK and Kane in their respective corners. It is expected that this will then lead into a tag match between DX and the Brothers of Destruction in Saudi Arabia.

Only one match has been confirmed for Crown Jewel so far, a WWE Universal Championship triple threat, pitting reigning champion Roman Reigns against Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman.

WWE have also announced a 'WWE World Cup' tournament for the event, which is said to determine 'the best in the world' - but no further details have yet been announced.

WWE Crown Jewel will take place in the city of Riyadh, at the King Fahd International Stadium. It follows on from WWE's last Saudi Arabia event, Greatest Royal Rumble, which saw Braun Strowman win a 50-man Royal Rumble match.
