One of the matches planned for the upcoming edition of WWE Saturday Night's Main Event has been changed.
Becky Lynch vs. Sol Ruca was originally announced on Monday Night Raw as a non-title match, but WWE are now advertising the contest as being for the Women's Intercontinental Championship. The match was set up on Raw in a promo segment between Ruca and Lynch, but the champion specifically noted that Ruca had done nothing to deserve a shot at the Women's Intercontinental Title.
Sol Ruca has been on the WWE main roster on a full-time basis since the Raw after WrestleMania 42. She is yet to win, though, and has lost to Liv Morgan and IYO SKY on Monday nights.
WWE Saturday Night's Main Event will take place on May 23. Other matches announced for the show include Penta vs. Ethan Page for the WWE Intercontinental Championship, Paige & Brie Bella vs. Nia Jax & Lash Legend for the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles, Austin Theory & Logan Paul vs. the Street Profits for the WWE World Tag Team Titles, and a six-woman tag pitting Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss against Jade Cargill, Michin, and B-Fab.
