WWE Makes Triple H's 'Major Announcement' Early

WWE made Triple H's "major announcement" early on Thursday

Triple H was scheduled to make a "major announcement" during Peacock's WWE Preview Special on Thursday night but WWE ended up making the announcement early.

As opposed to a new signing or a major match, though, WWE's "major announcement" turned out to be the reveal that Money in the Bank will be held at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on Saturday, July 6. This is part of a weekend of WWE events in Toronto with SmackDown on July 5 and NXT Heatwave on Sunday, July 7.

Triple H said in a press release: "Toronto is an amazing city with a passion for sports entertainment. We're excited to bring Money In The Bank to Canada for the first time, as we continue to lock down the most globally focused schedule in company history."

WWE often visit Toronto and they held a house show at the Scotiabank Arena on December 29. Edge's final WWE match took place at the venue in 2023 as part of the August 18 episode of SmackDown.

Both Fightful Select and PWInsider have reported that Triple H's announcement on Peacock was going to be the reveal of Money in the Bank's location. There is no word on why the announcement was made early, only that "something happened that changed in the plans."
