WWE Money In The Bank Sells Out After Switching Venues

Money in the Bank was originally set for Allegiant Stadium

After originally being promoted for Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium, WWE recently changed the location of Money in the Bank 2022 to the smaller MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Reports at the time indicated that poor ticket sales were the reason for changing venue, but a new report from the Wresting Observer’s Dave Meltzer suggests the move was a shrewd one as WWE have reportedly sold out the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

An earlier tweet from WrestleTix on twitter suggested that WWE had sold in the region of 11,850 tickets for Money in the Bank, with the arena set-up to seat 12,088 fans. This is in sharp contrast to the original plans for Allegiant Stadium, with WWE reportedly shifting 17,924 tickets against a set-up of 24,867 seats, drastic compared to the fact that SummerSlam 2021 drew over 51,000 fans to the same venue.

Money in the Bank is scheduled for July 2 2022, and whilst no matches or participants have been announced for the event, reports suggest that Roman Reigns will be wrestling on the show.
