'WWE: Next Gen' coming soon

WWE will debut a new docuseries in the coming weeks.

Originally announced back in April 2023 as 'WWE: Recruits', a new trailer today has revealed that 'WWE: Next Gen' will debut on the Roku Channel on April 1. The Roku Channel is available for free on any Roku device.

The eight-episode docuseries will follow a group of young men and women as they look to become a WWE Superstar. The series will be produced by WWE and A. Smith & Co. Productions. John Cena will serve as an executive producer on the project. Cena will appear on 'WWE: Next Gen', as will the likes of Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Bianca Belair, and Big E. Filming on the series began back in early 2023.

John Cena said in the original press release: "Millions around the world watch and dream of it, but only a handful of extraordinary individuals can become a WWE Superstar. I am so excited to bring 'WWE: Recuits' to The Roku Channel and look forward to giving viewers an exclusive all-access perspective on how the WWE turns the dreams of talented young people into a reality."

Cena is currently away from WWE, although reports have suggested he is planned for WrestleMania 40
