WWE Not Currently Expected To Sign Goldenboy Santos

WWE are in the process of signing multiple stars of the independent wrestling scene in Europe but one wrestler who isn't expected to join the company is Goldenboy Santos.

Fightful Select's Corey Brennan has reported that Goldenboy Santos is currently suffering from an injury. WWE retain an interest in the Portuguese wrestler but the company are not expected to sign Santos "right now."

Goldenboy Santos was a part of WWE's tryouts from the UK performance centre in late March 2025. Santos reflected on participating in the tryouts on This Is A Revolution.

"It was a very feel-good moment because all the guys that were there, I was probably the least known one. At least the one with the smaller name value in the independent wrestling but at the same time, I knew everyone that was there. So it was a kind of being at home or at least feeling more comfortable because you've been on shows with all those guys for a long time and you have that relationship with everyone and everyone was so supportive. It was great. Honestly, it was far from my biggest dreams to imagine that could happen to me, but, it happened. It was great," Santos said.

Goldenboy Santos has been wrestling for several years and he is a regular for the likes of OTT and RevPro. Santos is the reigning OTT European Champion, having won the belt from Charlie Sterling in early May 2025.
