WWE NXT 2.0 Results - October 12, 2021

Another show filled with segments

You have no kidnappings for months and then two come along at once.

WWE broadcast the latest edition of NXT 2.0 from the Performance Center on October 12 and a kidnapping ahead of the show had implications for the main event as Legado Del Fantasma attacked Hit Row and took away Top Dolla and B-Fab.

This left Isaiah "Swerve" Scott to fend for himself in his North American Title defence against Santos Escobar and both men fought back and forth before Joaquin Wilde and Raul Mendoza tried to interfere. Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams came down to make the save and Swerve took advantage as he threw Escobar into an exposed turnbuckle before he put the challenger away with the JML Driver to retain the gold.

Scott had no time to celebrate, though, as Carmelo Hayes suddenly attacked the North American Champion and cashed in his championship opportunity. One minute later, Hayes connected with an Axe Kick to win the title.

In the second kidnapping of NXT 2.0, Tony D'Angelo kidnapped Lash Legend's producer Mark after she insulted the waste management specialist on her talk show.

The opening contest of NXT 2.0 had title match implications as Joe Gacy squared off with Tommaso Ciampa. Had the former CZW World Champion won, he would have made the NXT Title match at Halloween Havoc a Triple Threat. Gacy was unable to win the match for all the 'snowflakes', however, and Ciampa pinned him after 10 minutes following a Fairytale Ending.

Harland then attacked Ciampa after the match but Gacy managed to calm him down enough for the NXT Champion to head backstage. Ciampa's difficult night continued soon after, though, as Grizzled Young Veterans looked set to attack The Blackheart before Bron Breakker entered the picture. The two men will team together against GYV next week.

In events with Halloween Havoc implications, Mandy Rose will challenge Raquel Gonzalez for the NXT Women's Title in a Spin The Wheel Make The Deal Match. Indi Hartwell and Persia Pirotta also defeated Sarray and Amari Miller. This led to a brawl after the match with Io Shirai & Zoey Stark, and Toxic Attraction and a Triple Threat Match for the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship was booked for October 26.

Elsewhere on NXT 2.0, Xyon Quinn defeated Malik Blade, Andre Chase got angry at his university students again, Duke Hudson pinned Grayson Waller before the former Matty Wahlberg introduced Cameron Grimes to online dating, and Kyle O'Reilly & Von Wagner vanquished Ridge Holland & Pete Dunne.

Diamond Mine also continued to look dominant as Ivy Nile defeated Valentina Feroz in her in-ring debut. Ikemen Jiro then headed to the ring after the match to challenge Roderick Strong but Julius Creed intercepted the popular Superstar and pinned him after three minutes in an impromptu match.

Two new Superstars' debuts were teased during the show as well. New signing Solo Sikoa (Sefa Fatu) will debut soon, while a mysterious wrestler will appear at Halloween Havoc.
