WWE NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa Pulled From Another Appearance

An injury hampering the recent Raw and SmackDown Live debutante...

Last week, it was revealed NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa has been working through an injury in recent times. The self-proclaimed Greatest Sports Entertainer Of All Time was expected to work through to NXT TakeOver: New York before taking some time off to get surgery.

It looks like surgery may be required sooner than reportedly expected, however, as Tommaso has been forced to pull out of another appearance due to his injury, with Chaotic Wrestling owner Brian Fury announcing Ciampa will no longer be appearing at the promotion's 'Cold Fury 18' show on March 15.

Fury was informed that NXT were pulling the DIY man from the appearance, and revealed he wasn't told a reason why this was happening.

Blackheart will be replaced by NXT Tag Team Champion, Hanson, at Cold Fury.

After making his Raw and SmackDown Live debuts two weeks ago, Ciampa wasn't seen on either of last week's shows - presumably due to the injury.

He and partner-cum-rival Johnny Gargano recorded wins over Raw Tag Team Champions, The Revival, and former SmackDown tag champs The Bar in their first two main roster matches.
