WWE NXT Decisively Beats AEW Dynamite Title Tuesday In The Ratings

WWE NXT crushes AEW Dynamite Title Tuesday

Tony Khan may have a post-birthday hangover.

Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics has reported that WWE NXT decisively defeated AEW Dynamite Title Tuesday on October 10. NXT on USA Network averaged 921,000 viewers and a 0.30 rating in the key 18-49 demographic. AEW Dynamite, meanwhile, averaged 609,00 viewers and a 0.26 rating in the 18-49 demo.

Overall a ton of people tuned in to watch professional wrestling on Tuesday night. Both shows loaded up for the head-to-head battle on October 10. John Cena, Cody Rhodes, The Undertaker, Paul Heyman, Jade Cargill, and Asuka all appeared on WWE NXT and there were other main roster talents on the show, including Tegan Nox, Shotzi, and Solo Sikoa. AEW Dynamite, meanwhile, featured Adam Copeland's in-ring debut, and two title matches, and the likes of Bryan Danielson and Chris Jericho were in action on the show.

Both promotions were feisty ahead of Tuesday, including AEW CEO Tony Khan calling Triple H and Shawn Michaels a "bald asshole."

AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT went head-to-head as AEW's flagship show was preempted from Wednesday nights due to TBS' coverage of the Major League Baseball Playoffs.
