WWE NXT Draws Best Ratings For Years On September 12

A big night in the ratings for WWE NXT on September 12

WWE NXT had a strong night in the ratings for the September 12 episode that aired on the USA Network in the United States.

According to Wrestlenomics, NXT averaged 850,000 viewers, including around 335,000 in the key 18-49 demographic for a 0.26 rating. September 12 was NXT's highest total viewership since October 28, 2020 and the demo rating tied the best rating that NXT has done since December 18, 2019. 

Compared to last week, NXT was up 26 percent in total viewership from 673,000 and up 46 per cent in the demo from last week's 0.18 rating. 

The September 12 episode peaked late for the NXT Women's Title match between Tiffany Stratton and Becky Lynch, Wrestlenomics noted. Total viewership between 9:45 pm and 10 pm ET averaged 927,000 and 364,000 in the 18-49 demo. Viewership only increased for NXT's eight-minute overrun to 1.061 million total viewers and 403,000 in the key demo.

According to reports, NXT booked Becky Lynch on the September 12 show as WWE are determined to beat AEW Dynamite in the key 18-49 demographic. It remains to be seen if WWE achieved their goal.
