WWE NXT Going Head-To-Head With AEW Blood & Guts 2026

Due to the United States midterm elections, WWE NXT will be going head-to-head with the special Blood & Guts edition of AEW Dynamite on Wednesday, November 4.

The CW schedule on TV Insider has NXT listed as taking place at 8 pm ET on Wednesday, November 4. NXT is also scheduled for November 4 on Netflix, with the show airing on the streaming service for fans outside of the United States.

Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that NXT is being pre-empted by The CW due to a lot of CW stations covering the United States midterm elections, which are being held across the country on Tuesday, November 3.

The pre-emption also means that NXT will be going head-to-head with two of WWE's other shows in EVOLVE and Main Event. EVOLVE airs on Wednesday nights at 8 pm ET on Tubi, while Main Event recently began being broadcast at the same time after moving to Rumble.

WWE NXT and AEW Dynamite previously went head-to-head on a weekly basis from October 2019 to April 2021 as part of the Wednesday Night Wars until NXT switched to Tuesday nights. The two shows have gone head-to-head sporadically since then, including earlier this month on Tuesday, October 6, when AEW Grand Slam France aired at the same time as that night's NXT.
