WWE NXT's Cameron Grimes Out For 4-6 Weeks

On the shelf for the rest of the year...

WWE confirmed during last night's episode of NXT that Cameron Grimes will be on the shelf for four to six weeks.

The Technical Savage suffered a storyline injury last week following his match against Tommaso Ciampa. The Blackheart managed to overcome interference from Timothy Thatcher and Tyler Rust to defeat Grimes with the Fairytale Ending. The three-time X Division Champion took exception to Thatcher's involvement and confronted The British Messiah. This didn't go well for Grimes, though, as Thatcher grabbed and twisted his leg, causing The Technical Savage to writhe on the floor in agony.

It was later confirmed on the NXT Injury Report that Grimes suffered a leg injury as a result of Thatcher's attack but no time frame was given for his return at the time.

Grimes stint on the shelf comes shortly after his rivalry with Dexter Lumis came to an end. The two men had been feuding since The Tortured Artist returned in October and Lumis exacted revenge on Grimes at NXT TakeOver: WarGames in a Strap Match.
