WWE NXT's Kacy Catanzaro Suffers Partial LCL Tear

She's on the shelf

WWE NXT Superstar Kacy Catanzaro has confirmed on Twitter that she is dealing with a partial LCL tear. When she will return to the ring is currently unknown.

She wrote: "It's been a tough week.. coming to terms with a partial LCL tear, but working with medical staff to get back as soon as I can. You can't keep me down."

Catanzaro was written off WWE TV in an injury angle on last week's edition of NXT. She faced former friend Xia Li on the show and the Chinese Superstar stomped on Catanzaro's leg while it was draped on the steel steps. Li then dragged Kacy back into the ring but the official called for the bell after deciding Catanzaro was unable to continue.

Matt Camp mentioned on the NXT Injury Report, which is a blend of storyline and real-life injuries, that Catanzaro was not medically cleared to compete and would be on the shelf for an unspecified amount of time.

Catanzaro isn't the only NXT Superstar dealing with an injury. MSK were scheduled to face Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch for the NXT Tag Team Championship on Wednesday but Wes Lee broke his hand at NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day and is currently on the shelf.
