WWE NXT Talent Debuts New Gimmick

An NXT star has been repackaged

A WWE NXT star debuted a new gimmick on last night's show.

Nathan Frazer debuted the gimmick during a talk show segment called 'Hard Hitting Truths with Nathan Frazer', which appears to be heavily inspired by 'Last Week Tonight with John Oliver'.

Oliver has been a frequent critic of WWE's business practices in the past.

During the segment, Frazer said he was a guy who can do more than just flips and discussed how things haven't gone according to plan since his return from injury. He added that it's easy to get sad or depressed, but that he had come to the realisation that NXT is full of 'studs' and 'studettes' and he needed to keep up.

He closed the segment by saying unhappiness can't catch you if you're fast enough and vowed to practice what he preached in his bid to turn his fortunes around.

Frazer returned to NXT on the February 28 episode of the show, losing a North American Title match to Wes Lee. He has since wrestled on NXT TV, Level Up, on live events and made one appearance on WWE Main Event (losing to Bronson Reed).

His last televised match was a loss to Dragon Lee on April 4.
