WWE NXT Talent Reacts To Brian Kendrick's Scrapped AEW Appearance

Down a flight of stairs Brian goes

An NXT talent has reacted to All Elite Wrestling scrapping Brian Kendrick's debut.

Harland took to social media after it emerged AEW had cancelled Kendrick's debut, tweeting a video of him throwing the former WWE producer down a flight of stairs.

The angle took place on a December episode of NXT when Kendrick looked to halt Harland backstage. The two men were then scheduled to go one-on-one on December 28 but the match never took place and the former Spanky was replaced by Andre Chase.

It later emerged that Kendrick had asked for his WWE release, a request that was granted just before AEW announced the 42-year-old would face Jon Moxley on Wednesday's episode of Dynamite.

The match was scrapped, though, after offensive remarks Kendrick made in the past resurfaced.

Within videos from 2011 and 2013, Kendrick gave his thoughts on many conspiracy theories, during which he claimed only 250,000 Jews were murdered during the Holocaust and the final death toll was overblown to justify the creation of Israel. He also claimed the Nazis used gas chambers in concentration camps for delousing as opposed to the mass extermination of "undesirables."

Kendrick apologised for his views after his Dynamite booking was cancelled, writing:

"I apologize for all the hurt and embarassment I have caused with my words. These are not my beliefs and never were beliefs of mine, and I crossed the line. I spread the most vile comments without thinking of the damage it would cause. I will live with this regret for the rest of my life. I am truly sorry for the pain I have caused."
