WWE NXT UK TakeOver: Dublin Cancelled

The rescheduled show has been scrapped

WWE NXT UK TakeOver: Dublin has seemingly been cancelled.

When looking to purchase tickets for the event on Ticketmaster, the website lists the show as "cancelled" while 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland has removed any mention of the event from their calendar. The rescheduled show was set to take place on June 20, 2021.

NXT UK TakeOver: Dublin was originally scheduled for April 26, 2020, but the event was pushed back to October 25, 2020, because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The show was then moved again later in the year to the June 2021 date but WWE has seemingly scrapped plans for the show altogether now, although there has been no official announcement as of yet.

The cancellation won't come as a surprise to many, especially as the coronavirus pandemic continues to rumble on in the UK and Ireland. Irish Taoiseach Micheal Martin set out a timetable for the lifting of lockdown restrictions yesterday but no dates were given as to when indoor mass gatherings would be permitted.
