WWE Originally Planned Surprise Eric Bischoff Hall Of Fame Induction

"We were going to surprise him last year. He was actually going to go in with us."

Sean 'X-Pac' Waltman has revealed WWE were originally planning a surprise Hall Of Fame induction for Eric Bischoff at last year's ceremony.

Bischoff has been confirmed as an entry into the WWE Hall Of Fame as a member of the Class Of 2021 and will be inducted, alongside Molly Holly, Kane and The Great Khali, on Tuesday, 6 April.

This year's ceremony will also see the Class Of 2020 inducted after the COVID-19 Pandemic put a halt to last year's planned ceremony. The NWO will be a part of the Class Of 2020 and Waltman has revealed the group were going to invite Bischoff up onto the stage for his induction as a surprise during the event.

However, X-Pac is glad the former WCW executive producer knows about his induction ahead of time.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, he said: "I’m really glad they’re putting Eric in. Speaking of that, we were going to surprise him last year. He was actually going to go in with us.

"I’m glad they didn’t try to do that because a person should know ahead of time, not just show up and go, ‘Hey, by the way, come on up here and get your ring.'"
