WWE reportedly pitched the idea of Adam Cole cutting his hair and changing his look to coincide for his call-up from NXT to the main roster.

Cole departed WWE last month and signed with All Elite Wrestling, making his shock debut for AEW at All Out at the start of September. Prior to his contract with WWE expiring, the former NXT Champion was reportedly pitched a number of different ideas for a run on either Monday Night Raw or Friday Night SmackDown.

While not every idea floated around WWE creative for Cole actually made it to the man himself, Fightful Select is reporting one that did was him cutting his long hair in order to establish a new look.

The pitch, per the report, was immediately shot down by Cole, who made it very clear he was not interested in cutting his hair. The idea wasn't raised again and wasn't included in the final list of possibilities for Cole on the main roster.

Cole has made subtle changes to his look and character since debuting in AEW, including new ring attire.
