WWE Planning To Keep Gunther & Ludwig Kaiser Together on TV

Gunther & Ludwig Kaiser to continue working together on WWE TV

Imperium looks set to remain together in some form on WWE TV.

The faction had been composed of Gunther, Ludwig Kaiser, and Giovanni Vinci since the former Fabian Aichner reunited with the group at Clash at the Castle 2022. That seemingly changed on the April 22 episode of Monday Night Raw as Ludwig Kaiser turned on Vinci following their loss to New Day, with the former Marcel Barthel smashing his tag team partner's head into the ring apron before he proceeded to beat him down around the ringside area. The angle came to an end after Kaiser decked Vinci with a Shotgun Dropkick while he was draped across the steel steps.

Gunther had already expressed his disappointment with Kaiser and Vinci's loss and the former Intercontinental Champion had a brief interaction with Kaiser following the segment, suggesting they would remain aligned on WWE TV as singles wrestlers moving forward. Fightful Select has since reported that Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser are tentatively planned to keep working together following the turn on Giovanni Vinci. Gunther has already declared for the 2024 King of the Ring, while Kaiser will likely feud with Vinci in the coming weeks.

Gunther is the longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion in WWE history. He lost the gold to Sami Zayn at WrestleMania 40 on April 6.
