WWE have reportedly discussed hosting a Roast of WrestleMania following night two of WrestleMania 41 and there has been an update on the company's plans for the event.
According to Dave Meltzer in a F4WOnline Daily Update, the Roast of WrestleMania is likely to take place on April 20 after WrestleMania 41. It will be more of a Tony Hinchcliffe show as opposed to a WWE event in style. Hinchliffe has been earmarked to feature in the Roast of WrestleMania, which may be taking place at the BleauLive Theater, part of the Fontainebleau Las Vegas resort.
Hinchcliffe, the host of the podcast Kill Tony, signed a deal with Netflix earlier this year to host three specials on the streaming platform. Netflix are WWE's TV partner for Monday Night Raw around the world and the two sides have a much closer working relationship for WWE content outside of the United States.
Hinchcliffe was condemned from across the political spectrum in 2024 over racist jokes he made at a Donald Trump rally at Madison Square Garden during Trump's presidential campaign. Hinchcliffe called Puerto Rico a "floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean", drew on racist tropes around black people and watermelons, suggested Latinos "loved making babies", and called Palestinians rock-throwers.
