Pro wrestling fans have compared WWE to cinema in recent years and fans will now be able to watch WWE pay-per-views from the comfort of a movie theatre.

WWE and Fandango (not that one) have announced that SummerSlam will air live in select Regal Cinemas across the United States and tickets are on sale now. SummerSlam will begin a multi-show collaboration between WWE and Fandango, and additional cinema chains are expected to air WWE shows in the future.

Fandango President Will McIntosh said: "WWE is one of the most electrifying global entertainment brands, and its events deserve to be experienced on the big screen. We're thrilled to work with WWE and Regal Cinemas to bring the action-packed SummerSlam 2025 cinema presentation to fans nationwide."

WWE SummerSlam will air from MetLife Stadium on Saturday, August 2 and Sunday, August 3. Headline matches at the show include John Cena vs. Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship and Gunther vs. CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Title. Original plans also called for Seth Rollins to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase at SummerSlam.
