WWE Provides Update On Seth Rollins Following Bronson Reed Attack

Adam Pearce has provided a kayfabe explanation for Seth's upcoming absence.

Seth Rollins was written out of WWE storylines for the foreseeable future on last week's episode of Raw, where he took six Tsunami splashes from Bronson Reed.

This was done to give Rollins, who is reportedly suffering from chronic injury issues, some time to heal up.

In a video posted to social media, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce provided a kayfabe update on Seth, saying:

"Adam Pearce here with a bit of bad news over morning coffee, as our medical staff has informed me that Seth Rollins has in fact suffered several cracked ribs and internal bruising and, as such, will be out of action for an unspecified period of time. Bronson Reed, the cause of this last Monday on Raw, has been fined a massive yet undisclosed amount of money, which he has appealed. And I do not expect that Mr. Reed will be happy when I deny that appeal".

Rollins took several months away from WWE after dropping the World Heavyweight Championship to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania XL.

He underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus and has wrestled just once since (when he challenged Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Title at Money in the Bank).
