WWE Raw Results - February 15, 2021: Changes Made To WWE Title Elimination Chamber Match, Lacey Evans Announces She's Pregnant

A show with major implications for Elimination Chamber

Last night's edition of Monday Night Raw was the go-home show before Elimination Chamber 2021 and the episode had major implications for this Sunday's WWE Title match.

Raw opened with the latest edition of Miz TV with special guest Drew McIntyre. The WWE Champion struggled to get a word in, though, and the segment was brought to an abrupt end following a Glasgow Kiss to The A-Lister.

The Miz then switched gears after McIntyre headed backstage and tried to cut a tough-guy promo during which he declared he controlled his own destiny and removed himself from the Elimination Chamber match.

Following his announcement, The Miz tried to parachute John Morrison, who wasn't at the show, into the vacant spot but Kofi Kingston made his own case to Adam Pearce. This led to a match later in the show for the vacant space and Kingston ultimately picked up the victory after 14 minutes with Trouble In Paradise.

The final hour of Raw was also dedicated to the WWE Championship Elimination Chamber match as the six participants faced off in a Gauntlet match for the right to be the final entrant. Kofi Kingston and AJ Styles started off the bout, but The New Day member was worn down from his earlier match and Styles managed to put him away with a Phenomenal Forearm after 11 minutes.

The Gauntlet then very much became a showcase for Drew McIntyre as he managed to defeat Styles and Jeff Hardy over the next 30 minutes before Randy Orton entered the ring. The two rivals rekindled their feud and fought back and forth for seven minutes, but The Viper's current nemeses in The Fiend and Alexa Bliss cost him the Gauntlet as a laughing Bliss was projected throughout the ThunderDome and Orton was counted out.

This left Sheamus and a tired WWE Champion to fight it out for the right to be the final entrant and The Celtic Warrior pinned his former friend following a Brogue Kick from out of nowhere to earn the coveted spot.

The Raw Women's Championship match between Asuka and Lacey Evans on Sunday was also thrown into disarray on Raw after The Sassy Southern Belle announced she was pregnant during her tag team match against The Empress Of Tomorrow and Charlotte Flair. Evans refused to enter the ring for the opening few minutes but Royce tagged her in when she wasn't looking. Ric Flair's protege then hopped off the apron and declared she was pregnant before she and a dancing Nature Boy headed backstage.

The announcement initially appeared to be the latest development in the storyline with the Flairs, but reports have noted Evans is legitimately pregnant and will be pulled from the Raw Women's Title match on Sunday.

WWE also continued their partnership with Bad Bunny on Raw and the rapper captured the 24/7 Championship from Akira Tozawa only moments after the former Cruiserweight Champion defeated R-Truth for the gold.

Two long-running rivalries continued elsewhere on Raw as Riddle & Lucha House Party defeated Cedric Alexander, Shelton Benjamin & MVP of The Hurt Business and Shayna Baszler defeated Lana. The Fiend's reincarnation also became more satanic as Alexa Bliss sat inside a pentagram and announced the two-time Universal Champion will be reborn.
