WWE Raw Results - September 13, 2021

Title changes and more

For the first time in a long time, WWE produced an episode of Monday Night Raw that was worth watching as the red brand rolled into Boston's TD Garden on September 13.

WWE announced a stacked Raw following their 18-49 demo loss to AEW Dynamite last week and Big E declared ahead of the show that he would be cashing in his Money In The Bank contract, during an episode that already had Bobby Lashley vs. Randy Orton for the WWE Championship.

The company wasted no time in hyping up the WWE Title match and eventual cash in as Raw opened up with RK-Bro, Bobby Lashley & MVP and Big E in the squared circle. The Raw Superstars bickered back and forth as Big E watched on with a big smile on his face and the segment eventually came to an end following an RKO from Orton to Lashley.

The Viper and Lashley then went one on one in the announced main event and put together a pay-per-view-worthy WWE Championship match. Orton appeared to have the match won late on after he decked Lashley with an RKO but MVP once again paid dividends as he pulled The All Mighty towards the ropes. Orton immediately exacted revenge as he decked Porter with an RKO, but this proved to be The Viper's downfall as Lashley connected with a Spear once Orton got back in the ring for the 1-2-3.

Lashley's business with Orton didn't end after the match, though, as he put the 14-time world champion through the announce table, injuring his knee in the process.

Just as Lashley tried to stagger back into the ring, Big E's music played throughout the TD Garden and the New Day man cashed in his Money In The Bank contract, much to Lashley's dismay.

The ensuing match lasted just over a minute and WWE teased Lashley would retain after The All Mighty hit Big E with a Spear. The challenger managed to kick out, though, and E avoided a Dominator attempt before he decked Lashley with the Big Ending to win his first WWE Championship.

Raw then went off the air as a reunited New Day celebrated, all happy together.

The main event wasn't the only title match on the show, though, as Jeff Hardy answered Damian Priest's United States Title Open Challenge. Both men fought back and forth in an entertaining encounter as Sheamus watched on and The Archer Of Infamy retained the gold following a Reckoning. Sheamus then made his presence felt as he entered the ring, but he ended up on the mat following a Brogue Kick from Priest.

Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax also look to have finally split up after months of on and off teases. Baszler went one on one with Charlotte Flair on the September 13 show and The Queen Of Spades put in her most impressive performance for months. The match ultimately ended with a distraction from Jax, though, and Flair picked up the win with a Big Boot.

Alexa Bliss then made her way to the ring after the match and gifted Flair a doll called 'Charly.' This resulted in a brawl between Bliss and Flair and Alexa ended the segment standing tall with the Raw Women's Title aloft.

Elsewhere on the show, Drew McIntyre & The Viking Raiders defeated Jinder Mahal, Veer & Shanky, Nikki A.S.H pinned Tamina in a botch-filled finish, Rhea Ripley forced Natalya to tap out, Doudrop exacted revenge on Eva Marie, and Omos, AJ Styles, Mace & T-Bar defeated The New Day, Mansoor & Mustafa Ali.
