WWE Raw To Air Live On Netflix During European Road To WrestleMania Tour
WWE Raw on Netflix airing live during European Road to WrestleMania tour
Dec 6, 2024
With the move away from traditional broadcast TV into streaming with their deal with Netflix, questions have been asked as to how episodes of Raw outside of the United States and Canada will air on the service.
Since Triple H took charge of WWE in 2023, the company has noticeably been focusing more on their overseas fans, with major PLEs in the UK, Australia, France, and Germany having taken place in 2024. Heading into 2025, WWE are set to undergo a big Road to WrestleMania European tour, with Raw and SmackDown set to air live from Italy, Belgium, Scotland, and England.
A report from PWInsider states that Raw will air live no matter what, with the location or the local timezone of international shows not a problem for the company due to the nature of Netflix.
The plan is to air live globally, with episodes set to be available as VOD as soon as possible after the end of the broadcast. This means no more tape delay, with WWE no longer bound to an 8 pm Eastern time broadcast. So the planned WWE European shows should be airing around 4 pm for US and Canadian viewers on the East coast.
