After being pulled from the WWE Mixed Match Challenge and an in-ring role at Survivor Series last weekend, it seems that some people online have been speculating that former Raw Women's Champion Alexa Bliss could be forced to retire. I, like you I'm sure, have no idea where such talk has come from, although it has only intensified over the last few days after more rumours cropped up online suggesting Bliss could be a long-term replacement for Baron Corbin as General Manager of Raw.

The latest we knew about Alexa was an

update provided by Dave Meltzer on 12 November

, where he said that WWE's treatment of her is nothing more than a precaution after a number of concussions suffered in such a short period of time.

It appears that Meltzer's update is a lot closer to the truth than the rumours online are, as Alexa herself has rubbished any talk of her hanging up her boots in the near future. The captain of the Raw women's Survivor Series team responded to a couple of fans on her Instagram account over the weekend, saying she'd be back in the ring soon enough.

The last time Bliss stepped inside a WWE ring to compete was on the 19 October Live Event, where she teamed with Mickie James in a losing effort to Nia Jax and current Raw Women's Champion, Ronda Rousey. This was the show that saw rumours of a broken nose/concussion for Bliss surface online.

Bliss has been adamant throughout her absence that she isn't done competing for WWE, tweeting out “I’m not going anywhere” accompanied with a GIF of Arnold Schwarzenegger saying ‘I’ll be back’ on 11 November.
